Dorothy Ford

Dorothy Mary Ford, 103, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Countryside Senior Living.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on Oct. 10, 1912, in Sioux City, to Charles and Elsie (Bader) Seloover, where she grew up and attended school.
She was united in marriage to Woodrow T. Ford in 1938. Together with her husband she farmed in the area.
Dorothy loved spending time with her grandson, Blake. She and her husband also had a cabin on McCook Lake and wintered several years in Texas. They also traveled in their motor home.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Terry and Jan Ford of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren, Derek Badousek, Dominic and Jessica Badousek, and Darcy and Perry Ball; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Blake Ford; her sisters, Eula and Lucille; and daughter-in-law, Lynn Ford.
