Dorothy M. Muxfeldt, age 91, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2022, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel.
Dorothy was born May 27, 1931, in Sergeant Bluff, IA, the daughter of Harold and Bessie Downhour. She grew up in the area and graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School.
On July 29, 1962, she married Elvin F. Muxfeldt. The couple adopted their daughter, Sandra. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (James) Price; grandchildren, James Price Jr., Kayla Price, Tylor Price, Allen Price; great grandchildren, Landon Shuck, Thomas Powell, Jewelz Price, Ruby Price, James Price III, Veda Price, Lukus Price, Alena Price, Elena Price; along with her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.
