Ebelardo C. Davila, 77, of South Sioux City NE, joined his Heavenly Father Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Unity Point-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., with visitation one-hour prior.
Ebelardo Cesar Davila, the son of Justo and Angela (Trejo) Davila was born March 23, 1943, in Victoria Tamaulipas, Mexico. He moved to Texas in his mid-20s.
In May of 1969, Ebelardo was united in marriage with Lourdes Flores and began his family. He was adept at many things, but primarily was employed as a truck driver. In 1989, the couple moved to Sioux City, Iowa where Ebelardo worked at John Morrell and Co. for many years before his retirement in 2010.
Ebelardo was full of life and love for his family, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ebelardo is survived by his wife, Lourdes of South Sioux City, NE; children, Lupita (Fernando) Ramirez of Houston, TX, Julio (Sonia) Davila of Sioux City, Carlos Davila, Luis Davila, Sophia Davila, Evelardo Davila (girlfriend, Renee McGregor) of Michigan, Sandra Davila of South Sioux City, NE, Cesar Davila of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren, Fernando Ramirez, Bobby Paige Davila, Kevin Cabrera, Tiffany Ramirez, Monica Curiel, Kimberly Davila, Esteban G. Curiel, Teanna Davila, Justo Davila, Adan Curiel, Esperanza Davila, Adrian Curiel; and great-grandchildren, Mason Martinez, Nataly Martinez, Alyxander Curiel, Alex Lopez, Jaxon Martinez, Ariel Lopez and siblings in Mexico Sandra Rivera and Ramon Davila and Marcos Davila.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
