Edna L Eatherton, 94, of Sioux City, passed away quietly at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, Iowa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Edna was born on March 31, 1922, in Correctionville, Iowa, to Clifford and Enid (Cochren) Wenbourne.
She was united in marriage to Marion Sparks in 1937 in Elk Point, S.D. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1969. Edna was a former longtime resident of Moville. She later married James Eatherton in June 1971 in Moville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1995.
Edna was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a seamstress and liked to collect dolls. Mrs. Eatherton enjoyed baking, sewing and babies.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Connie (Dan) Schultzen, the former Connie Sparks of Moville; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Millie Bowers and Lee McElrath.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Diane Neubaum; son, Phillip Sparks; one grandchild; two brothers; and four sisters.
