Elizabeth Ann Dykshoorn (Adler)

Sioux City - Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Dykshoorn, 80, of Sioux City died Monday, March 4, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 24, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Betty was born on Feb. 21, 1933, in Anthon, Iowa, to Carl Cecil and Mary Elizabeth (Ashley) Adler. She graduated from Ida Grove (Iowa) High School in 1951. In 1964, she moved to Sioux City, where was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by six children, Elaine J. (Chris) Allen of Omaha, Robert E. (Jeanette), and Larry D. (Ann), all of Tulsa, Okla., Diane L. (Ray) Casto of Tulsa, James A. of Sioux City, and Susan K. Dykshoorn of Ames, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; many cousins; former daughter-in-law, Sharon Dykshoorn of Sioux City; former son-in-law, Randy Carlson of Tulsa; special family friends, Bob Carlson, Nancy Ballard, Cindy Coffey; her IC friends; and her dog, Ginger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Max Adler; and sister, Martha Cantrell.
