Sioux City - Elmer W. "Bud" Sisson, 86, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Touchstone Living Center following a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. today at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Elmer W. Sisson was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Dec. 27, 1926, to Elmer W. Sr. and Grace (Jewell) Sisson. The family moved to Sioux City in 1939. Bud graduated from East High School in 1944.
On Jan. 23, 1948, he married June Kamm. He was employed as a comptroller at Continental Baking Co. from 1955 to 1981.
Survivors include his wife, June Sisson; daughters, Cheryl Sisson, Patricia and Alan Fedregil, and Dawn and Mark Winkel; a son, Scott and Leila Sisson; grandchildren, Dawn Wagner, Jason Benson, Tara Benson, and Kyle Winkel; and great-grandchildren, Tanner and Chase Benson and Taden Przymus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
