Eloise J. Gormally, 90, of Hubbard, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hubbard. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at Jackson, Neb. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 5:30 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Eloise was born on Sept. 14, 1926, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Roman and Esther (Tex) Sauer. She was united in marriage to Raymond Gormally in July of 1945 in Indianapolis.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the ladies legion auxiliary, Red Hat Society, and the Legion of Mary, as she was very devoted to the Blessed Mother. Eloise spent most of her time caring for her family and others in the community. She was a very giving woman and enjoyed sharing her baking, sewing and time with others.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Pat Mahr of Emerson, Neb., Michael (Barbara) Gormally of Durango, Colo., Peggy (Bob) Conner of Prescott, Ariz., Jane Gundvaldson of Sioux Falls, S.D., Annette “Ag” (Harry) Faulhaber of Bennington, Neb., Joe (Jane) Gormally of Heber City, Utah, Donna (Don) Fuchser of Hubbard, E, Kathy (Steve) Palmquist of Lakewood, Colo., Paula (Jeff) Bartels of Hubbard, Barbie (Steve) Meyers of Quinlan, Texas, Liz Gormally of San Diego, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a brother Carl Sauer of Indianapolis, Ind.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and her brothers and sisters, Maxine, Eugene, Mary Francis, Carl, Joe and Norma.
