SIOUX CITY -- Elva V. Delgado, 91, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Nov. 16, 2011, at a care facility in Omaha.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Gerald Feierfeil officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Elva was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Mission, Texas, one of eight children.
She married Taurino Delgado on Dec. 23, 1942, and settled in Harlingen, Texas. They later moved to Sioux City.
She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, baking and being surrounded by her family.
Elva is survived by six sons, Mr. and Mrs. Rome Delgado of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Taurino "Tony" Delgado of Crescent, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Rodolfo Delgado of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Delgado of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Aberlardo Delgado of Omaha, and Mr. David Delgado of Omaha; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and two sons, Arnaldo and Domingo.
