KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Eugene G. Fulton, 86, of Kingsley, formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center after a seven-year-long illness.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with the Rev. Joe Barnes of River Hills Church officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Eugene was born July 21, 1922, in Lawton, Iowa, the son of Albert and Jeanette (Johnson) Fulton. He was raised in the Lawton and Moville area, graduating from Moville High School. He moved to Sioux City in 1968 and had lived here until his health forced him to move to the nursing home in Kingsley.
He married Mary Henderson in September 1946. He later married Betty J. (Christenson) See on April 1, 1977, in Elk Point, S.D. He first worked for Flewelling Sand and Gravel, then for 24 years at Brower Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; four sons; two daughters; two stepsons; four stepdaughters; a brother; two sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a daughter.
