Evelyn L. Allner, 82, of South Sioux City died Friday, March 11, 2016, at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. David Zirpel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born on Nov. 14, 1933, in Sioux City, the daughter of Albert and Helen Schmidt. She was educated in Sioux City, graduating from East High School in 1952. Evelyn was a bookkeeper.
She married Edward Schmidt in 1954. He died in 1963. Evelyn married Lawrence Allner in 1975. He died in 1988.
She is survived by three sons, William (Michelle) Schmidt of Sioux City, Edward (Robin) Schmidt of Pensacola, Fla., and Scott (Patricia) Schmidt of Ponca, Neb.; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; several cousins; and many dear friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ted Allner; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
