Evelyn Darlene Harder-Schroeder (Webb)

SIOUX CITY -- Evelyn D. Harder-Schroeder, 92, of Sioux City passed away Aug. 26, 2011 at Countryside Nursing and Rehab. Center.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born Oct. 3, 1918, in Denison, Iowa, to Opal and Martha (Hoffeldt) Webb. The family moved to Sioux City, where she attended Sioux City schools. She graduated from East High School in 1937.
She married William Harder on April 13, 1937. She later married Robert Schroeder on May 31, 1974, in Elk Point, S.D. Evelyn was employed as a beauty operator. She was later employed with Dairy-O and at the Cecilia Park Drug Store.
She was a member of Morningside Church of Christ. She spent 11 years as a gray lady for the American Red Cross. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, animals, knitting, painting and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, Roger and Vivian Harder of Sioux City; a son-in-law, Jim Hodson of Hastings, Neb.; stepsons, Gary and Cheryl Schroeder of Carroll, Iowa, Steve and Sharon Schroeder of Sergeant Bluff, and Scott and Michelle Schroeder of Bronson, Iowa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and two daughters, Linda Darlene Grotjohn and Marilyn Mae Hodson.
