Evelyn Billie Wilshire, 89, of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at a local hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at New Life Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Evelyn was born on Oct. 2, 1928, in Sioux City, the daughter of Art and Elizabeth (Harder) Hills. She attended Sioux City Community Schools.
She was united in marriage with Ray C. Wilshire Sr. on June 17, 1948 in Sioux City. Mr. Wilshire passed away on Oct. 22, 1999 in Sioux City. She spent most of her life in Sioux City, but did spend some time in Omaha. She worked in food service at several different locations for several years, later she worked as an antique dealer and collector. She was known to set up her booth at many different flea markets in the area. She loved collecting and selling antiques and was always doing things for others in the area.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Tom) Kielty of Norfolk, Neb.; her son, Raymond C. Wilshire of Sioux City; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Wilshire of Sioux City; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Douglas Hills; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron; and a son, James Wilshire.
