Felicitas Gutierrez, 85, of Sioux City passed away of natural causes Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, in Arlington, Texas.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with the Rev. Cosgrove officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Domingo Sr., who passed away in April 2015. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Felicitas was born on July 10, 1931, in McAllen, Texas. She married Domingo Gutierrez Sr. on Dec. 29, 1951. Felicitas lived in Texas for many years and moved to the Siouxland area in 1970. Felicitas was a housewife and mother and always loved being with family.
She loved doing jigsaw puzzles and word search books. Felicitas loved her dogs, Scooby and Lilly, and, anything purple. She even had a purple room. Felicitas loved Pitbull, the singer.
Survivors include her children, Maria Aguilar (Bernardo) of Texas, George (Maria) Gutierrez of Nebraska, Mike (Gloria) Gutierrez of Texas, Jaime (Patsy) Gutierrez of Iowa, Irma (Jose) Martinez of Texas, Gloria Gutierrez of Nebraska, Domingo Jr (Kristy) Gutierrez of Iowa, Juan (Adidas) Gutierrez of Texas, Dora (Mike) Rich of Nebraska, and Angelica Gutierrez of Iowa; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one adopted son, Kevin Nelson.
Felicitas was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Sr.
