SIOUX CITY -- Florence Eleanor McKeever, 91, of Sioux City died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Third Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jennifer Santer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Florence was born March 15, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Simms) Morris. She was raised in Sioux City and attended school at Woodrow Wilson.
She married Robert McKeever on June 10, 1936, in Elk Point, S.D. They made their home in Sioux City. She worked at Sioux City Battery and Wincharger. Robert Sr. died April 21, 1984.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking pies, making homemade noodles and other things. She enjoyed gardening and being part of the family at her apartment complex.
Survivors include four children, Robert and Coleen McKeever Jr. of Sioux City, Richard and Sandra McKeever of Sioux City, Beverly and Arthur Yates of Underwood, Iowa, and Russell and Patricia McKeever of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ellen Morris of Sioux City; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert McKeever Sr.; a son, Gary McKeever; an infant son, Patrick McKeever; and her brothers and sisters.
