Frederick G. Baker, 73, of Sioux City died Friday, May 22, 2015, at his home.
As he requested, no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Fred was born on March 8, 1942, in Blythe, Calif., the son of Robert J and Zola (Belle) Baker. In 1960, he joined the U.S. Navy, and in 1962, he joined the U.S. Army. Fred came to Sioux City in 1983 and worked as a janitor for the Sioux City School System for several years.
He is survived by a friend, Barbara Gould of Sioux City; two sons, Rob Baker and Shelly Hamman of Sioux City and Michael Baker; and three daughters.
