Gail I. Bubke, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at home after a brief illness.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Ida Grove (Iowa) Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Gail was born April 11, 1958, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Glen and Lanore (Weinert) Bubke. She graduated from Kingsley-Pierson (Iowa) High School in 1976. She graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City with a degree in nursing.
Gail worked as a nurse for several hospitals throughout her life. Her favorite times were being a traveling nurse. Most recently, she was employed at Mid-Step Services.
Gail enjoyed gardening and canning.
Survivors include her son, Jason (Tiffany) Bruntz of Dakota Dunes; father, Glen Bubke of Kingsley; brother, Gordon (Susan) of Pierson; sisters, Glenda (Larry) Larger of Pickerington, Ohio, and Karla (Scott) Gruis of Smithville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Calvin, Saundra and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; infant brother; and several aunts and uncles.
