Garrett VanDyke, 53, of Sioux City, Iowa died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home. Services will be at a later date. Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
Garrett was born January 18, 1963 in Culver City, California, the son of Jack and Geraldine (Milks) VanDyke. He attended school and graduated from High School in California. Garrett owned and operated his own cleaning business. He loved Cooking. It was his life. He also liked swimming, antiques and had an extensive baseball card collection.
Survivors include his five children, Ryan, Nicholas, Angelina and twins, James and Julia, all of California; his mother, Jeri Marston of Sioux City; 2 brothers, Jack VanDyke and Scott VanDyke, both of Arizona; a sister, Aurora (Tony) VanMuyden of Salix, IA; grandmother, LaVon Speed of Sioux City, IA; Aunt, Darlene (James) Coover of Sioux City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Steven VanDyke, a baby sister in infancy; and his grandfather, Rayburn Milks.
