Gerald McNaughton

Sioux City - Gerald "Jerry" McNaughton, 81, of Centennial, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died Aug. 17, 2012 in Littleton, Colo.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Gerald "Jerry" was born on May 9, 1931, in Sioux City, the son of Orville and Dolly (Wiggs) McNaughton.
Jerry married Rose Hodgins on March 8, 1963, in Dakota City. They made their home in Sioux City, where Jerry worked for Swift and Co. for more than 38 years. They moved to Colorado in October 1999, where he worked as a security officer.
Jerry was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a ham radio operator and an active member and past president of REACT. REACT would go out on winter rescues.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Hodgins McNaughton of Centennial, Colo., formerly of Sioux City; three sons, Randy and Mary McNaughton of Aurora, Colo., Jeff and Chris McNaughton of Sioux City, and Brian McNaughton of Sioux City; a daughter, Lisa McNaughton-Ingalls of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a brother, Gene and Joanne McNaughton of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Loren.
