Glenna Marie Redshaw (Brenden)

SIOUX CITY -- Glenna M. Redshaw, 85, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Countryside Retirement Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone World Outreach Church, with Pastor Donna Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.christysmith.com .
Glenna Marie Brenden was born Nov. 19, 1924, to Glenn and Goldie (Anderson) Brenden in Sioux City. She attended and graduated from Sloan High School with the class of 1942.
Glenna and Maurice Redshaw were married on June 16, 1951, in Sioux City. She worked in the office at Salsness Buick and Keightley and Pedersen.
She was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and Morningside Lutheran Church, where she served in several capacities, including singing in the senior choir, directing the youth choir, teaching Sunday school and was a member of different women's circles. She taught piano lessons from her home for many years. She also volunteered at Sunrise Manor and Matney's, where she played the piano and led sing-a-longs. Most recently she attended Cornerstone World Outreach Church with her daughter.
Glenna was an avid bowler and active on leagues where she frequently had high score and high series. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time she loved embroidery and playing the piano.
Glenna is survived by a daughter, Leanne and husband, Steven Fisher of Ponca, Neb.; sons, Brian and wife, Genene of Hibbing, Minn., and Galen and wife, Carol of Johnston, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Peder and Sara Fisher, Alana Schweiger, James and Graham Redshaw, Laurie Hurst, Brenden, Cameron and Brooke Redshaw; two great-grandchildren, Natasha Heath and Hope Schweiger; a sister, Aileen Brown of Centennial, Colo.; a brother, Gene Brenden of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice in 2008; grandchild, Steven Paul Fisher; and brother, Vernon Brenden.
