Glennis Ellen Morse, 83, of Sioux City passed away on Aug. 16, 2016 at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Halaas officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Glennis was born on June 5, 1933, in Sioux City, to Glen and Lydia (McMaster) DuBois. Her mother passed when she was 3 years old and she was raised by her father and beloved stepmother, Elaine DuBois. Glennis graduated from Sloan (Iowa) High School.
She married Richard A. Morse on Oct. 21, 1951.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Glennis loved traveling, cards, bowling, and her winter home in Tucson, Ariz. She was never one to sit still, was constantly on the go and was always the first to help others.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Tom) Stowers of Onalaska, Wis., and Kathleen (Mark) Nordgren of Sioux Falls; son, Richard Morse, Jr. of Chino, Calif.; grandchildren, Ryan (Meghan) Stowers, Lisa (Jake) Paul, Megan (Luke) Zurbriggen, David (Amber) Nordgren, and Michael Nordgren; great-grandchildren, Kennan, Lydia, Ella, Olivia, Brewer, Lorna, and Owen; sister, Janice Roarson; and brother, Bill (Christy) DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter; three infant siblings; brother, Roger DuBois; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Roarson.
