Gregory West

Gregory Allan West, 57, of Hinton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at his residence after a brief illness.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. James Travis officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Greg was born on June 17, 1959, in Ganesville, Ill., to Merle and Helen West.
He was united in marriage to Sheryl Christiansen on May 28, 2006. Greg worked at Silent Drive for many years as a sales rep and in customer service.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his hobbies of golfing and hunting.
Greg's life and memories will be remembered by his wife, Sheryl of Hinton; his children, Joseph West and his significant other, Kirstin, Stephen West, and his stepdaughter, Kate (Derek) Peck. He is also survived by his grandchildren, David and Bailey Peck; his siblings, Joan (Jim) Erpenbach, Ruth (Gary) Kral and Mike (Ellen) West; along with several nieces, and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David West; and a nephew, Jeffrey.
The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their support throughout this difficult time.
