Harold L. Rodman, 84, of Sioux City passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. A public celebration of life will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at his daughter, Vicki's house. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Harold was born on Aug. 10, 1931, in Lake View, Iowa, to Hurley and Bernice (Auen) Rodman. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating high school.
Harold was united in marriage to Frances Kay Booth on May 6, 1955, in Arcadia, Iowa. They then moved to Sioux City in 1958.
Harold was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the D.A.V. He enjoyed fishing, the Iowa Hawkeyes, spending time with family, and attending his grandchildren's athletic events.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Frances of Sioux City; daughters, Lori (Tom) Pope of Lincoln, Neb., Julie Erickson of Sioux City, and Vicki (Otis) Boyok of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Brianne (Rob) Costello, Ben (Brandi) Erickson, Anj Boyok, and Kendra Pope; four great-grandchildren, Gracie, Max, Ella, and Alex; and brothers, Donald and Jim Rodman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann; and brothers, Darwyn and Robert.
