Harold C. Terrell, 52, of Sioux City died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at his residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with Pastor Merrill Muller officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Harold was born on April 13, 1956, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Harold P. and Lila B. (Kennet) Terrell. He was raised on a farm near Hinton, Iowa. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1974. He lived in Whiting, Iowa, and he loved farming the farm in Merrill, Iowa. He returned to Sioux City in September of 2007.
On June 21, 2008, he married Cheryl Raymond in Sioux City. Harold loved farming, and he also had worked at Wilson Trailer Company for more than 32 years.
He played in pool and dart leagues in Sioux City. He enjoyed playing cards and loved riding his motorcycle. But what he loved most was playing with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of Sioux City; two daughters, Tonya Watkins of Denison, Iowa, and Jay Cooper of Sioux City; 15 grandchildren, Daniel, Nathaniel, Jordon, Tony, Aaron, Courtney, Devin, Shaylee, Dominic, Cadance, Shayna, Alyssa, Kaylee, Conard and Dillian; eight brothers and sisters, Mona M. Nelson of St. Cloud, Minn., Jack L. Terrell, Donna F. and William Danker of Sergeant Bluff, Sharon and Ken Payne of Sweeny, Texas, Gary and Donna Terrell of Merrill, Iowa, Eva B. and Duane O'Donniel of Udell, Mo., Steven and Barbara Terrell of Sioux City, and Bonnie and William Swearinger of Scott City, Kan.; and 27 nieces and nephews.
