Harry worked as a repair technician in the Sioux City area until his health issues forced his retirement. Harry lived the majority of his life in the Sioux City area.
He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and fishing. In Harry's later years, he enjoyed taking his RV on camping trips because he said, "there's never a big rock under my sleeping bag in the RV."
