Harvey C. Steinborn, 84, of Enderlin, N.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at a Fargo, N.D., hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
Harvey was born Jan. 15, 1931, at Cooperstown, N.D., the son of Herbert and Augusta (Stulz) Steinborn. He attended school in Edgley, N.D.
During the years, Harvey worked for Great Northern Railroad, Rodairy, Zenith, and finally at Western Iowa Tech Community College as a groundskeeper until his retirement in 1993.
He was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church and Masonic Lodge and Consistory. He was a volunteer for Siouxland Agency, a prayer warrior at church, and prison ministry in Springfield, S.D., Rockwell City, S.D., and Fort Dodge, Iowa, every month.
Harvey enjoyed playing cards, bingo and bowling.
Survivors include his daughter, Candace (Mark) Burge of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Harold (Lois) Steinborn of Lisbon, N.D.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four children at birth; and four sisters.
