SIOUX CITY -- Hazel M. Eastman, 82, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Hazel was born March 13, 1929, in Sioux City, to Nels and Johanna (Swedlund) Olson. She married Fred Eastman Jr. on July 25, 1948.
She enjoyed rummage sales, flea markets and gambling.
Survivors include her sons, Donald and Connie Eastman and Douglas and Nancy Eastman; a daughter, Jody and Ed Westad; grandchildren, Kristine, Ashley, Ryan, Kyle, Zach and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Ava, Evelyn, and Dominic; brothers, Victor and Ruth Switzer and Ernie and Glenda Olson; and sisters, Ruby Ehlers, Idabelle Thompson, and Grace Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Albert, Roy and Elmer; and a sister, Delores.
