Helen Luella Bobo (Anderson)

Helen Luella Bobo, 82, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Countryside Retirement Center.

Services will be noon today at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. John H. Pehrson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .

Helen was born June 28, 1925, in Sioux City, the daughter of Harry and Johanna (Brummund) Anderson. She attended school and graduated from East High School.

She married Terry W. Bobo on April 27, 1943, in South Sioux City. Together, they made their home in Alabama for eight years before moving back to Sioux City where they remained ever since. She worked at many different places around Sioux City. Terry died Nov. 18, 2006.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and worked with the youth group. She was a member of the state and national Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary, Iowa Women's Golf Association, Greater Siouxland Golf Association and Hidden Acres, Floyd and Green Valley Ladies Associations. She rated many golf courses.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Eileen and Gary Franken of Sioux City; two grandsons, Chad Camerer and his wife, Trina of Pierson, Iowa, and Brent Camerer of Alaska; three great-grandchildren, Lane, Nolan and Jacie Camerer; and a sister and her husband, Georgiann and Merle Myrtue of Holstein, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry; her stepfather, Chuck Brewer; a sister, Florence Evans; and a brother, Laurence Anderson.
