SERGEANT BLUFF -- Helen Darlene Clark, 77, of Sioux City died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Embassy Rehab & Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Tanya Sherrill officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Helen was born April 28, 1931, near Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Guy and Mary (Johnston) Conyers. She attended school and graduated from Little Sioux High School. She married Dale Clark on Dec. 10, 1950, at Onawa. Together they made their home in many communities between Boone, Iowa, and Omaha, while Dale worked for the railroad. They settled in Sioux City in 1969.
She was a member of First Christian Church. Helen loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially Jenni and Jon. She also enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing and collecting angels.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Clark of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Terry and Debbie Clark of Spirit Lake, Iowa; two daughters and their husbands, Deanne and Brian Hanson of Hinton, Iowa, and Pam and Loren Schroeder of Sergeant Bluff; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Robert and Bonnie Conyers of Bridgeport, Neb.; and a sister, Marie Schmoker of Lincoln, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mary Conyers; a brother, LeRoy Conyers; and infant siblings.
