Henrietta Beuzekom

Henrietta Beuzekom, 87, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at a local nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace Reformed Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Bob Rook officiating. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, in Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, Centennial, Colo. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Henrietta was born on Jan. 29, 1929, to Dick and Winifred (Zylstra) Beuzekom, in Sheldon, Iowa. Henrietta was raised in Sheldon and attended Archer High School graduating with the class of 1946.
She worked at Northwestern Bell in Sheldon as an operator and later became a supervisor. She moved to Denver, Colo. in 1956 and worked at Mountain Bell as an operator, became a supervisor and then became the executive secretary to Mountain Bell where she retired from.
Henrietta was a longtime member of Third Christian Reformed Church in Denver and Peace Reformed Church in Sioux City. Henrietta loved to play the organ, travel, especially making many trips to Europe, and the Mediterranean with friends. She loved to go up in the mountains in Colorado.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Myrna Beuzekom of Sioux City; nephews, Tom (Sharon) Beuzekom of Sergeant Bluff, and Dave (Barbie) Beuzekom of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandnephews and nieces, Jennifer Beuzekom, Brandon Beuzekom, and Angela Conway, all of Sioux City, Brittany Beuzekom of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sara Beuzekom of Albuquerque; and great-grandnephews and nieces, Colin Conway and Katelyn Beuzekom of Sioux City.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold "Buzz" Beuzekom; and nephew, Scott Richard Beuzekom.
