Ida Lukowicz, 84, of Sioux City died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ida was born in Sioux City on May 2, 1923, the daughter of Mike and Sophie Staszewsky. She was a lifelong resident of Sioux City.
She married Leo J. Lukowicz on Jan. 23, 1943, in Sioux City. He died July 9, 1989, in Sioux City. She worked at the Patty Ellen Cafe in Sioux City and after it closed, she work at Sioux City Dressed Pork.
She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and gardening.
She is survived by three children, Michael and his wife, Nancy of Davenport, Iowa, Jerome "Jerry" Lukowicz of Philadelphia, PA. and Elizabeth Ourada of South Sioux City; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Georgia Luke and Delores Graack, both of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Lillian, Jenny, Helen, Mary and Cecelia.
