SERGEANT BLUFF -- Jack William Criteser, 43, of Sergeant Bluff died suddenly Thursday, May 21, 2009, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Weiss of First Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Criteser was born Nov. 13, 1965, in Sioux City, the son of George William Criteser Jr. and Diana Joyce Jones. He attended South Sioux City Schools. He married Joan "Jo" Titus on April 1, 1988, in Sioux City. He was employed at Aalfs Manufacturing Company until the plant closed as well as various other businesses in the Sioux City area. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Winter Lodge 164.
Survivors include his wife, Joan and his beloved pets; his mother, Diana Criteser of Burwell, Neb.; three sisters, Tammy and Patrick Henson of Traer, Iowa, Bobbi Loffredo and her special friend, Walter Williams of Gray, La., and Sunny Antonio of Sioux City; a cousin, Tracy McKnight of Sioux City; an uncle and aunt, Robert and Jan Criteser of Lillian, Ala.; a brother-in-law and his wife, Dennis Sr. and Charlene Titus; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Satterwhite and Bonnie Titus, both of Sioux City; nephews and nieces, Devon Humphrey, Norberto, Sonja and Joses Antonio, Tabitha Loffredo, Faith Williams, Scott Schwebach, Dennis Titus Jr., Misty Titus, Lauerance Satterwhite, Corey Titus and Darcy Titus; grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Micheal and Sky Smith, McKenzie Satterwhite and Jesse Titus.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesse and Mary Titus; uncle and aunt, Clarence and Lois McKnight; brothers-in-law, Allen Titus and Larry Satterwhite; nephews, Justin Criteser, Reuben Antonio, Peter Titus and Dustin Peake; and a niece, Allisha Titus.
