BRONSON, Iowa | Jack Warren Smith, 53, of Bronson passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at home.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church in Bronson, with the Rev. Cyndy Ripperger officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be sent to

Jack was born on Oct. 13, 1959, in Sioux City, to William and Patricia (Provancha) Smith. He grew up in Sioux City and Grand Island, Neb., where he graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1978. Jack moved back to the Sioux City area in 1986 and resided in Bronson. Jack was employed at the Big Soo Terminal in Sioux City.
Jack will be remembered as a happy, fun-loving, charismatic person who never judged anyone and was a friend to everyone. He loved golf, music, Nebraska football and, most of all, his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Smith of Bronson; brothers, Jim Smith of Grand Island, Neb. and Jerry Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Jeanette Smith of Bronson; son, Luke Smith of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters, Molly Smith of Grand Island, and Leah Rasmussen-Smith of Sioux Falls, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Smith; and brothers, Bob and Joe Smith.
