SIOUX CITY -- Jacquelyn Annette (Mueller) Dyas, 76, of Sioux City, formerly of Omaha, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Indian Hills Hospice Center following a brief battle with liver cancer.
Per her request, there will be no memorial service. Cremation will take place in Sioux City. A family service and burial will be in Rock Port, Mo. at a date yet to be determined. Jacquelyn Annette (Mueller) Dyas was born March 14, 1933, on the family homestead in Rock Port, Mo. She resided there until 1941, when she moved to Omaha. She attended Park Elementary and continued her education at Omaha Technical High School, where she graduated with honors in 1951.
On June 14, 1955, she was united in marriage to Keith G. Dyas and had three children, Michael, David and Jean.
She enjoyed knitting, reading, visiting with friends and family, watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.
She is survived by her aunt, Maryan L. (Cloepfil) Twyman and family of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Norman D. Mueller and family of Omaha and John A. Mueller (Janet) and family of Blair, Neb.; children, Michael R. Dyas (Lori) of Valley, Neb., David W. Dyas and family of Omaha and Jean L. (Dyas) Cunningham (Doug) of Sioux City; grandchildren, Stewart A. Dyas of Sioux City, Michael W. Dyas (Brooke) of Waverly, Neb., Melissa R. (Dyas) Johnson (Eric) of Waterloo, Neb., and Nathan J. and Michelle A. Cunningham of Sioux City; and great-grandchildren, Tailer B. Dyas of Sioux City and Caleb A. Johnson of Waterloo, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Jack" Mueller and Iva "Christina" (Cloepfil) Mueller.
