Jacquelyn E. Warfield, 83, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, after a long illness.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the clubhouse of Four Seasons Countryside, 3009 Lilac Lane. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Jackie was born on Nov. 9, 1932, in Escanaba, Mich., to Hubert and Ethel (Lund) Bray. She grew up in Gladstone, Mich. Jackie graduated from Marquette University as a dental hygienist, and relocated to Sioux City in the early 1950s, becoming the first dental hygienist in the area.
She was united in marriage to John Warfield on Sept. 2, 1954, in Gladstone. Jackie was also the office manager for pediatricians, Drs. Stauch, Boysen and Jackson for many years. In retirement, she had worked for Amicare in medical records.
Jackie enjoyed bowling, gardening, needlepoint, reading, playing bingo and bridge, golfing, and volunteer work.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Becky Warfield (Douglas Pitts) of Clovis, Calif., Amy (Kevin) O'Dell of South Sioux City, Andrew Warfield of Sioux City, and Matthew Warfield of Gilbert, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, David (Diane) Bray of Pewaukee, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and daughter, Cynthia Ann Pate.
