SIOUX CITY -- James Anthony Beacom, 53, of Sioux City died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at a Sioux City nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Larkin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
James was born July 7, 1956, in Sioux City, the son of Joseph A. and Mary F. (Griffin) Beacom. He attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and graduated from Heelan High School in 1974.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to music.
He is survived by two sisters, Sue and Jerry Rich of Sioux City and Carol and John Lyon of Iowa City, Iowa; three brothers, Thomas and Kay Beacom of Pine Island, Minn., Joseph and Amy Beacom of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kelly Beacom of Ames, Iowa; five nieces; five nephews; and a grandniece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
