James Douglas Wallman, 62, Sioux City, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at his home.
Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Roger Madden will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. The Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel is handling the arrangements.
James was born on February 1, 1950 in Sioux City. He was the son of Garrett and Mildred (Wikert) Wallman. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1968. James enjoyed working with all kind of electronics, including C.B. radios and computers. He owned and operated Wallman Tech Co. He was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed shooting and collecting guns. James was an excellent wildlife photographer and enjoyed taking pictures in his back yard. He loved spending time with Zoe’s grandchildren. He was a loving, kind and compassionate man.
He is survived by his fiancé, Zoe Curry of Sioux City, his sister and her husband, Julie and Steve Schneider and her family, Zoe’s children, David and Chasity DeVall of Sioux City, Jeremy and Jessie DeVall of Le Mars, Grandchildren, Alexus, Ashton, Chloe, Jazzamine, Kylie, Devin. Zoë’s mother, Drue Butler, Zoe’s sister and brothers, Joyce (Al) Sherrill, Ben (Lora) DeVall, John (Kim) DeVall, Zoe’s nieces and nephews, Sally Thomas, Mike Thompson, Matt Thompson, Sherry Thompson, Joshua DeVall, Dakota DeVall, John M. DeVall, Coty DeVall, Katelyn DeVall, Brittany DeVall
He was preceded in death by his parents.
