Jewell L. Hall, 78, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be noon Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Gillett officiating. Private family graveside services will be held in Grant Cemetery, Rodney, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent online to

Jewell Louis Taylor was born April 1, 1929, in Mapleton, Iowa, to Fred and Goldie (Graybill) Taylor. She attended and graduated from Mapleton High School with the class of 1947.
On Jan. 30, 1948, she and Dale Hall were united in marriage in Dakota City. She was a stay-at-home mom and raised their five children.
She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in Mapleton. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, birds and her dogs. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Duncan of Sergeant Bluff, Linda Lee Hall of Dakota City and Barbara Joanne Beermann of Sioux City; sons, Robert L. Hall and his wife, Suzanne of Sioux City and James Hall and his fiancee, Colinda Brown of Elk Point, S.D.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild due in June 2008; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Dale in 1993.
