Joan "Jo" Phyllis Criteser, 52, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Jo was born on Feb. 12, 1964, in Sioux City, to Jesse and Mary (Petersen) Titus. She attended Sioux City Schools, graduating from West High in 1982 and from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2005.
She married Jack W. Criteser on April 1, 1988. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2009. Jo worked as a CNA at many healthcare facilities, as a delivery driver at Westside Pizza, and answered phones at Bob Roe's Point After.
She was an avid animal lover and loved to watch WWE wrestling, read books, watch horror movies, and TV shows of CSI Miami and Law and Order. She enjoyed watching her favorite team the Huskers play, as well as the Green Bay Packers.
Those left to honor her memory include her brother, Dennis (Char) Titus Sr.; sister, Ruth Satterwhite; four sisters-in-law, Bonnie Titus, Bobbi Criteser, and Sunny Antonia, all of Sioux City, and Tammy Henson of Traer, Iowa; mother-in-law, Diane Criteser of Burwell, Neb.; several nieces and nephews; and her two cats, Teddi and Rambo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Allen Titus; brother-in-law, Larry Satterwhite; one niece; and five nephews.
