Joan Louise Gunsolly

Joan L. Gunsolly, 84, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at a Sioux City hospital.
Per her wishes, the body has been cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Joan was born on May 9, 1930, in Lawton, Iowa, to Wallace and Beulah (Parcel) Robinson. She was united in marriage to Dale C. Gunsolly, of Moville, Iowa, on Nov. 14, 1953, in South Sioux City. They began their life together in Kingsley, Iowa, and later moved to Sioux City, where they raised their six sons.
Joan enjoyed dancing, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, visiting siblings in nearby towns, and being with her family and playing cards.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Gary, Steve, Dennis, and Tony; grandchildren, Dusty and Brittany; and siblings, Pert, Jean, Bedford, and Dale.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Craig and Keith; grandson, Austin; and siblings, Harold, Marjorie, Duane, and Florence.
