Jodi Ann Kittler, 38, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Sioux City, went to her home in heaven Thursday, April 17, 2008, following a very sudden illness.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel in Sioux City. Jodi was born Aug. 19, 1969, in Sioux City, to Ivan and Sharon (Montagne) Kittler. She attended Sacred Heart School and Heelan High School. She had worked in the aviation industry for 20 years. She had been able to travel and had visited nearly every state. She had lived in Memphis, Tenn., Phoenix, Ariz., Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Nev., Indiana and Ohio. She had always been happy with her aviation job and the wonderful friends she met in this career. They were like family and took care of each other.
She had stayed very close to her family even though she had lived away. Her favorite pastime had been shopping. She loved shopping and was very good at it.
She was loved by her family and is survived by her parents, Ivan and Sharon; her brothers, Bill and Carey Kittler and Randy and Tracie Kittler; her sister, Jill and Rich Stusse; nieces, Kelsey Kittler, Jenna Kittler and Ashlynn Stusse; nephews, Ben Kittler, Jayse Kittler and Jaden Kittler; her special friend, John Johnson and his special children, Jessie and Blake; and her cats, Jacks and Inky.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Beverly Montagne and Otto and Irene Kittler.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lilly, Brady Montagne, Josh Montagne, Dallas Johnson, Dan Curry, Jeff Persinger and Doug Persinger.
