John Patrick Lambert

SIOUX CITY -- John Patrick Lambert, 45, of Sioux City died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael J. Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. John was born Nov. 17, 1965, in Sioux City. He graduated from Heelan High School in 1985, then attended Sheldon Community College in Sheldon, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City. He was employed as a millwright for A.D.M. Company.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He played the guitar. He played in a band almost every weekend. He also wrote music. He enjoyed camping, fishing and farming. He loved to spend time with his family, his friends and his dog, Blue.
He is survived by his parents, Dean and Ruth (Shay) Lambert of Sioux City; his brothers and sisters, James Lambert and his wife, Jacque of Jackson, Neb., Jacqueline McCormac and her husband, Robert of Conifer, Colo., Jerome Lambert and his wife, Angela of Sergeant Bluff, and Jeffrey Lambert and his wife, Judeka of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a special friend, Deborah Olson of Sioux City; two foster children, Brandon Olson of Sioux City and Tyler Lubben of Omaha; seven nieces and nephews, Laural Everist-Lambert, Andrea McCormac, Robert McCormac, Jackson Lambert, Jake Lambert, Joshua Lambert and London Lambert; and a grandniece, Lillie Long-McCormac.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Lee Lambert; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Scott Kelly, Jerry Hodges, Bill Duerksen, Tracy Ogle, Pat Reed and Dustin Marten.
