Johnathon M. "Micco" Capers-Jones

Johnathon M. “Micco” Capers-Jones, 18, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Mercy One Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.

A Celebration of his Life will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel, 2320 Outer Drive North, with visitation one hour prior. The family requests that attendees wear sweatpants and a sarcastic T-shirt to the service.

Johnathon Mark “Micco” Capers-Jones, the son of Robin Capers and Chris Jones was born November 30, 2001, in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from West High School in 2020. Micco was employed in Environmental Services for Healthcare Services Group during high school and continued with them after graduation.

Micco enjoyed playing games on his Xbox and cooking. In fact, his dream was to eventually go to culinary school. Micco was known for his dry, sarcastic humor.

Micco is survived by his mom, Chris Jones; his mom, Robin (Anthony Rosauer) Capers; siblings, Emily Capers-Jones and Christopher Capers-Jones; step-sister, Elly Rosauer; a grandfather, Charles (Tuy) Capers; an aunt, Nicole (Jeremy) Kratke; and a step-grandfather, Mark (Jolene Lueth) Hanson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cindy Hanson, Judy and Darrell Jones; an uncle, Charles Capers; and an aunt, Toni Jones.
