Joi was born April 28, 1960 in Des Moines, IA, where she grew up with her sister Deborah and her mother and father, Jean and Charles Zettle. Joi was a proud and adoring mother to, Travis Perry, Abbie Fahrendholz, Daniel Perry III, and Jeri Perry, and her son-in-law, Brad Fahrendholz. Joi’s five grandchildren, Bailee, Bradyn, Daniel, Colten, and Brynlee, brought her happiness and laughter, even as she was called home by Jesus.
Always surrounded by family, friends, and, whenever possible her beloved toy poodles, Joi was true to her name and always there to lend a compassionate ear. As a mother she knew how to lift her children up, no matter what they needed. She was never without friends, wherever she went her unconditional love and generosity was obvious to everyone she met. Joi will be remembered as a mom, a grandma, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. She will be deeply missed.
We know she is looking down on us smiling with her beloved poodles at her side, forever caring for and watching over all those who touched her life.
Our family would like to thank Dr. J. Gupta, Dr Kharbanda, Mercy Medical Center Intensive Care nurses Tabitha, Lisa, Keshia, and Hopsice of Siouxland, especially Rachel. The care, love, and dignity you gave to Joi, beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, made her journey to heaven peaceful. You will all be forever in our hearts.
