Jon Patrick "Jack" Flannery

HINTON, Iowa | Jon Patrick "Jack" Flannery, 54, of Boerne, Texas, formerly of Hinton, passed away May 24, 2012, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Private family graveside services will be in Liberty Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Jack was born on Dec. 17, 1957, in Sioux City, to Arthur and Annette (Koopman) Flannery. He loved farming, especially on the family farm with family and eventually on his own.
He enjoyed painting animals and cats, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Flannery; a daughter, Megan Flannery; a son, Patrick Flannery; and two brothers, Joe Flannery and Mike Flannery.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
