Joyce McPeek

Joyce E McPeek, 84, of Sioux City passed away surrounded by family on Aug. 14, 2016.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Sunnybrook Community Church, 5601 Sunnybrook Dr., in Sioux City. The Rev. BJ Van Kalsbeek will officiate. Following the service there will be a luncheon in the church parish hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
She was born on June 20, 1932, in Elk Point, S.D., to Glen and Luella (Hoffman) Edwards. She married Don McPeek on Sept. 9, 1986, in Elk Point. She lived most of her life in Sioux City.
Joyce was a member of Sunnybrook Community Church. She had a love for Jesus, a servant's heart and a radiant smile to all throughout her life. Joyce was blessed with three children, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She made a truly lasting difference to her family and friends, hosting numerous family gatherings, being happiest when surrounded by family. Joyce lived life to the fullest and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. We are all grateful for having such a devoted mother, grandmother and sister in our lives.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, bird watching and gardening. She will be remembered for all the beautiful flowers growing in her yard.
Survivors include her children, Pam (Douglas) White and Debbie Santi, both of Sioux City; grandchildren, Christopher White, Adam (Emily) Santi, Trish (Brad) Ebel, Jannette Bentley, Jessica (Cody) Ficus and Jenna (Derrick) Hayden; brothers, John (Joleen) Edwards of Sioux City, and Randy (Susan) Edwards of Jefferson, S.D.; sisters, MaDonna Semple, and Patricia (Roland) Beintema of Sioux City, Diana Miller of Hubertus, Wis. and Rosella (Gary) Mannion of Alta Loma, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don McPeek; son, Dennis Hebert; brothers, Glen and Dwayne Edwards; and sister, Lorraine Frazee.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland for their devoted concern and assistance in the last months.
