Judith A Douglas, age 84, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at a local nursing home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at Holy Cross Parish St. Michael Catholic Church with a visitation held one hour prior. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel is assisting the family with services.
Judith Ann “Widner” Douglas was born February 8, 1937, in Sioux City, Iowa at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Her parents were Rose Elizabeth “Farley” Widner and Harold Widner. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and public elementary school. She graduated from Central High School.
During high school she worked for W.M. Klages at his pharmacy on 20th and Pierce. She married E.L. Douglas and they lived in San Diego and San Francisco while her husband was in the navy.
Judith worked for 45 years in pharmacy as a technician. She worked for Toller Drug, White Drug, D&R Pharmacy and for 23 years at St. Luke’s Medical Center. She loved her job and her pharmacy family at St. Luke’s.
She is survived by a daughter, siblings, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
