June Arlene (Manker) Corbin, 90, lifelong resident of Moville, passed away on Nov. 15, 2016, at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Janet Rieckhoff-Faris officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.
June was born on Jan. 23, 1926, in rural Moville, to Elmer and Edna (Thiesen) Manker. June graduated from Moville High School.
She worked at First Trust & Savings Bank until she married William R. "Bill" Corbin on June 16, 1946 at EUB Church in Moville. June and Bill farmed southeast of Moville until 1976, when they retired and moved to Bill's family farm northwest of Moville.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, church and especially her family and friends. June was active in 4-H, leader of the Moville Merry Maidens for 14 years, and a lifetime member of Eldridge Memorial EUB Church and later Moville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Cathy) Corbin of Naperville, Ill.; daughters, Judy (Dave) Meister of Naples, Fla., and Debbie (Dale) Rich of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Corbin) Margeson, Aaron Corbin, Tim Meister, Davilyn (Rich) Worthington, and Buck Rich; and a brother, Larry (Sally) Manker of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Vicki Lynn Corbin; grandson, 1st Sgt. Tobias Meister; brother, Gaylen Manker; and sister, Nona Kay Manker.
