June Delores Huser, 81, of Sioux City resided at her daughter's home where she passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, and was given loving care until she entered into eternal life following a lengthy illness.
Private graveside services will be held Friday in Graceland Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Lo Van of Morningside Lutheran Church officiating. The body will be cremated. Visitation, with the family present, will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Larkin Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to

June was born June 3, 1926, in Sioux City, the daughter of Alfred and Blanch (Salsness) Molskow. She graduated from East High School in 1944.
She married Perry Rasmussen on Oct. 5, 1946. They divorced on Jan. 29, 1970. She married Albert Huser on Feb. 2, 1974. They divorced on Jan. 5, 1988.
She was raised in Sioux City and lived in California for a short time, then returned to Sioux City. After her marriage, the family lived in a number of different states. They then lived in St. Louis, Mo., from 1966 to 1968. She then returned to Sioux City. She worked for the telephone company in California. She then worked in the quality control for Zenith Corp. in Sioux City. She also worked as a dispatcher for the police department. She received her insurance license in 1966. She worked for John Hancock Insurance Co., then for American Family Insurance Company. She also ran a square dance shop in Sioux City for four years. She retired in 1984.
She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church. She loved shopping, doing needlepoint, crafts, reading and square dancing. She also belonged to the Senior Citizen Center.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Rasmussen and his wife, Nancy of Dakota City, Ronald Rasmussen and his wife, Susan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ritchie Rasmussen of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters and their husbands, Denise and Byron Orr of Brandon, S.D., and Danette and David Meier of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and a great-granddaughter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Orr, Paul Rasmussen, Ritchie Rasmussen, Tyler Bradley, Anthony Haskins and Brandon Haskins.
