June (Kamm) Sisson, 95, of Sioux City passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19th, at home, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Thursday, September 21st, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Private burial will be Monday, September 25th, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born June Kamm on June 23, 1928, in Sioux City, IA, to Bernard and Gladys (Shattuck) Kamm. She attended Sioux City public schools and graduated from East High School in 1946. Following high school, she worked for Everett Jones DDS as a dental assistant. In 1948 she married Elmer (Bud) Sisson Jr. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, counted cross stitch and cheering on her beloved Iowa Hawkeyes. June is survived by her children, Cheryl Sisson, Patricia Fredregill and Scott (Leila) Sisson, her sister, Betty Jean Vigil, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn (Sisson) Winkel and her husband, Bud Sisson.
