Kathleen Hall, 70, of Sioux City, Iowa. As of 4:25pm CST on January 25, 2022, my mother Kathleen Hall has returned home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Rosary at 6:30 pm, Parish Vigil 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel, 2320 Outer Drive N. A funeral service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Mater Dei Parish, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Maurice, Iowa. She was born April 22, 1951 and is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Hall, brother Mark Ruppert, and sister Colleen Mayock. She survived by her sister Ginger Klein, brother Bill Ruppert, and me, her loving son, Joshua C. Hall.
She was born in Currie, Minnesota to Edward and Mary Ruppert. She lived in Iowa, California, Mexico, Brazil, and of course Florida, which was her favorite. She studied classical music at Iowa State and received her Master’s in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida. She spoke four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. She taught Spanish at St. Francis Catholic High School in Gainesville, Florida, as well as throughout Siouxland. Her hobbies included gardening, listening to classical music, watching TCM, and remaining skeptical at all times.
